What is Argo transit in Caledon?

The Town of Caledon is offering residents a new on-demand transit option, operated by Argo. Caledon's Argo transit is a fully electric vehicle that offers on-demand rides and connects to the existing Brampton Transit and York Region Transit network. The service picks you up near your door for a standard fare, and it dynamically combines your trip with others headed in the same direction for a time-efficient ride.

Where does Argo operate in Caledon?

Argo's on-demand ride is available in Bolton, Caledon East, and Mayfield West/Southfields. Riders can travel within and between these service areas, with connections to Brampton Transit and York Region Transit.

How do transfers work?

Riders can transfer between Argo and connecting transit services, including Brampton Transit and York Region Transit. While the connecting transit service will continue to charge its regular fare, Argo will not charge a fare for trips to or from designated transfer points.

How far in advance can I book a trip?

Riders may pre-book trips up to two days in advance or request last-minute rides through the mobile app or by phone. When pre-booking, riders can specify their desired departure or arrival time. For time-sensitive trips, or if you are travelling longer distances, we recommend reserving a booking in advance.

Can I use PRESTO?

Presto payment is currently unavailable within the routes operated by Argo in Caledon. Fares are paid through the app or by phone with a credit or debit card. The transit service will accommodate free transfers to and from Brampton Transit and York Region Transit.
